Exhibition Squash at Berkhamsted Club

What happened?

The exhibition went very well & we are talking about another one in May. We had a full house & could have sold half as many tickets again. Below is the write-up for the local paper.

An exhibition squash match was held at Berkhamsted Lawn Tennis & Squash Rackets Club on Monday evening. JustRackets.com
www.justrackets.com provided sponsorship for the evening. Mark Chaloner, world number 25 and Rodney Durbach, world number 28 provided an entertaining evening at Berkhamsted enjoyed by 50 spectators. The evening started with a doubles match. Two of Berkhamsted's top players, Pete Cheshire & Ali Coker joined Chaloner & Durbach on court. In a fast and furious match Chaloner & Cheshire won in two straight games 11-9 13-11.

After a short break, the main event of Chaloner vs. Durbach began. The
match seesawed with some incredible recovering and flashy nick shots with Chaloner coming through in the fifth & final game 12-10 9-11 11-6 9-11 11-6.

Trimmer won the auction bidding £66 to be donated to the Hospice.

The evening ended with a question & answer session. Chaloner & Durbach answered questions on their schedule, the professional circuit & training amongst others.

Mark Challoner (World number 21) and Rodney Durbach (World number 30) are joined by two of Berkhamsted's top players (Pete Cheshire & Ali Coker) for exhibition doubles, followed by a singles showdown.
