Vanessa Atkinson can play in the Dutch Men's League after
all. The world No.6, who was raised in Newcastle but now lives in The
Netherlands, appealed successfully after being told by the Dutch authorities
that she would no be allowed to continue playing for The Hague men's team, even
though she had taken part in the first two fixtures of the season.
Vanessa was delighted at the outcome of the recent hearing. She said on her
website (www.vanessaatkinson.com):
"After much deliberation it was decided that I can play out the rest of
this season. Myself and the SBN must come to an agreement, regarding next
season, within the coming weeks. Watch this space for any further
developments."
