ENGLISH OPEN: World Class Squash in a World Class Venue

 

                               

 

The world’s top squash players are once again heading for the Crucible Theatre, traditional home of the World Snooker Championships, for the Mamut English Open promoted by Eventis Sports Marketing. Last year, Lee Beachill lifted the trophy and went onto become World no.1.  Not only will Lee be back to defend his title but the programme this year will also include a women’s event running alongside the now well established men’s tournament. Come and see some World Class Squash in a World Class venue!

BRITISH OPEN: 7-15 October 2005 

You may have seen speculation in the squash press recently about this year's Open.  The promoters tell us that they are experiencing some difficulties concerning the venue for the Open, they are confident that these will be sorted out soon.  We'll update you with more information as soon as we can - if anyone you know would like this service please pass this on to them to subscribe as well! But for now if you want to be a part of one of the biggest squash tournaments in the World CLICK HERE to volunteer at the event.

 

PREMIER SQUASH LEAGUE (PSL): Rebranded, Refreshed and Raring to Go!

The National Squash League is to be re-launched as the Premier Squash League (the PSL) for the 2005/06 season. 

 

This season will see many changes including the addition of teams from Esporta Croydon and Birmingham University.  The transfer window is still open and the new signings are still under wraps but there are some big ones! The official launch is on Wednesday 14 September but we will update you soon on which world squash players you will get to see at your local clubs over the coming months.  For more information please contact Chris Nutley on chris.nutley@englandsquash.com

MASTERS

www.englandsquashmasters.co.uk is now the dedicated website for all players over the age of 35 within the country.
Adrian Wright is compiling a list of active masters players who wish to be advised of all Masters information and events. If you would like to be kept informed on what is happening in Masters Squash please contact Adrian,

ES: The esgrading site is now live

esgrading.com, the world's first ever online grading system, enables players of any standard and any age to play in a wide range of matches and see their position change instantly online.  All England Squash members are being entered onto the ES grading system as part of the membership benefits package, however you need to go online and activate the system to get your grading and start playing some graded matches!!  Please visit www.esgrading.com for more details.
