It has been a fantastic tournament from a spectacular venue culminating in an unexpected final between Gregory Gaultier of France and David Palmer of Australia.

Palmer overcame the French #1, Thierry Lincou, in the Semi Finals but will have to beat the ever improving Gaultier to win his fist title in 2006 on the PSA World Tour. Palmer has a 100% percentage record against Gaultier on the tour but the two have not clashed in 2006 with their last encounter at The Qatar Classic in 2005 when Palmer beat Gaultier in a five game thriller in the quarter finals. This is Gaultier's biggest final of his career so far and will be looking to go one better than his narrow defeat in the final of the recent Mamut English Open 2006 against fellow Frenchman, Thierry Lincou. Gaultier silenced the crowd knocking out the local favourite Amr Shabana in the semi finals but will have to overcome the rejuvenated Australian to take the biggest title of his career. Join Squash Legend Peter Nicol in the commentary box for what is set to be another fantastic final at this unique sporting venue. Peter's commentary is always a joy to listen to and it will be interesting to hear more about what the future holds for him.
