BAA Stansted Hertfordshire Youth Games 2004
Sunday 9th May 2004

 

The official event date will be Sunday 9th May 2004 and the event is to be held at Gosling Sports Park, Hertfordshire Sports Villange and Stanborough School, Welwyn Garden City with 9 local authorities entering teams of young hopefuls to compete in the following sports;

  Squash Netball Hockey Sportshall Athletics Football Rugby Table Tennis Basketball Tennis  Trampolining Badminton SLD Football

Mixed Squash Rules - 2004

Team Requirements
  • Each team can consist of either: 3 boys under 15 plus 2 girls under 15
    Or
  • 3 boys under 15 plus 2 boys under 13
     
  • Each team may be selected from a maximum mixed squad of ten.
  • Matches will be played strictly in order of ability regardless of sex or age.
  • All competitors MUST wear approved protective eyewear.

Team Eligibility
  • All competitors must be under their stated age on 9th May 2004.
  • Players who have represented their County at any age group cannot be selected.

Competition Format
  • Depending on the number of teams entered, a league system may be played initially, followed by a knock-out finals stage.
  • Each match played will be the best of 3 games
  • Normal scoring i.e. up to nine points setting 1 or 2 at eight all.
  • One point will be awarded for each rubber won plus two points to the winning team.
  • In the event of two teams tying on equal points, the winners of their match will be deemed the winners.

Sports Rules

  • The competition will be played in accordance with the Rules of The World Singles Game, effective from 1st May 2001 and approved by the World Squash Federation.
  • Competitors will be required to mark their team’s matches.
