Herts. County Junior Squash

Minutes of Meeting  1/10/2001

Present:  Chris Wilkinson, Dudley Fuller, Ron Worrel, Dave Kerr, Dave Proudfoot, 
Dave Sciberas.

Chris Wilkinson has worked extremely hard on organising the draw which he 
presented to the committee for final  approval prior to e-mailing / posting 
to the players.   89 entries over all age groups from U11 to U19 is a 
record number for recent years although it is interesting to note the heavy
weighting of 
players at the younger end: 23 in the BU13 but only 4 in the BU19.  
A disappointing number of entries were received from Girls with no U13 or U17
tournament being possible.  Many thanks to Chris for all his efforts in 
preparing the draw.

Concern was voiced at the possible lack of eye protection but it has been 
arranged that Mike Cooper, who runs the shop in Cannons, has ordered 15 pairs 
to be available for purchase on Saturday to compliment the 4 County pairs 
available on a first come first serve basis, from the Tournament desk.

Ron Worrell will be in charge of the Tournament desk assisted by Chris 
Wilkinson, Ray Waller and Dudley Fuller who comprise the remainder of the 
organising committee.  
	
Dean Clayton has organized two SRA Referee's to attend on Sunday to assist 
with the marking.

presentation ceremony in the bar after the final match.

All inter-county fixture information has now been received from the SRA and 
handed to the appropriate Team Managers as listed below:

* Phil Wearden (Bishop Stortford) will be Team Manager for the U11's. 
Although there are no SRA fixtures run at this age group he will try to 
organize some friendly's and create a good feeder squad for the U13's for 
future years.
