Finances: Account in good shape – currently £4041.82 (unsure where Ray got last months figure of £5200 – probably before some cheques had gone through).

Some more expenses still to pay from coaching and John Dixon’s county U13 match. Also Dave owed petrol expenses from Middx U15 county match – to collect next meeting.

Inter County: Nothing to comment. Next Rounds Feb. 2004.

Interclub: Still running well. Ron needs results promptly after each match (ie by following Thursday latest but ideally Monday) to keep up with ranking tables..

Coaching: Dec. 7^th was still set as a date for u/11 (Radlett) and u /13 (St Albans) coaching. 2 hours each age group (10-12; 15.00-1700)

10 girls attended training day on 16/11. Julian, Steve and Jenna attended.

As to training of new coaches from county funds, there was some discussion around this largely relating to the kind of "return on investment" that the county should demand from each successful applicant. We tended to agree on 20h of county related coaching would be minimum expectation for someone who is funded up to level 2.

Pete Cheshire will be attending his course which has been re-scheduled for early Feb.

Further agreed that Steve could claim his travelling costs for the coaching course he is attending in Ipswich.

Awards For All

Ron has prepared a template form for the school funding scheme. Max pot set at £1200 for this initiative. Ron to gather returned forms and to propose choices to committee at next meeting (Jan 12^th). The schools must complete an application form detailing how the money should be spent.

Application forms to be reviewed by Ron/Steve with a view to making proposals for next committee meeting.

Steve will contact all the clubs in Herts to discuss with each the level of junior coaching currently undertaken by each club and is there anything Steve could do to help.
