Finances: Dave calculated that the Herts Closed lost £105 but considering we had to buy a few trophies that will last for the next 10 years we more or less broke even.

We still have £4700 in the bank and shortly after the meeting Dean added the annual amount from the Senior Committee (£1250).

After expenses for the recent Inter County events ( 2 at home cost approx £400, 2 away cost approx £300) we should have around £5200.

Interclub: Ron has sent out play schedule and it is now underway.

Coaching: Dec. 7^th was set as a date for u/11 and u /13 coaching. 2 hours each age group (10-12; 13-1500)

Steve to look into setting this up with team Managers. To be held at St Albans.
Girls training day set for 16/11. Julian, Steve and Jenna to attend. Approx cost for this is £150.

Awards For All

Ron to contact SDO’s with a proposal that the committee could allocate up to £120 to each school towards coaching. The school must complete an application form detailing how the money should be spent.

Application form to be reviewed by Ron/Steve.

Chancellors school has been in touch with Ron Palmer to take 8 – 12 Girls each Monday for 1 hour for upto 6 weeks in Jan/Feb 2004. I advised Ron that £20/hour would be paid.

More support was sought for the Tom Elton Barratt tournament at Bishops Stortford.
The girls U19 was particularly poor.

Publicity – Should we seek more?. Should we have a ‘press officer’ who could submit some articles on the County and even Interclub matches?. To be discussed at a later date.
