Minutes of Meeting  4th November 2002

Present: Chris Wilkinson, Julian Craxton, Simon Andrews, Ron Worrell, Roxanne Ransley; Davis Kerr
Apologies: Ray Waller, Dave Sciberras, Dave Richards, Dudley Fuller

Finances:
CW confirmed that the necessary documentation had been completed to move the Bank a/c from Richmond to Bishops Stortford
It was confirmed that a cheque for £2,279.01 had been received from the Senior Committee. This was made up as follows:

2000/01 - £500
2001/02 - £529.01
2002/03 - £1,250

Inter County:

Reports were given of the recent U15 & U19 County Matches.
The U15 finished 3rd having beaten Middx 5-0 but losing to Surrey & Hampshire.
The U19 finished 2nd ( see attached report)
Girls U13 playing 10th Nov at Foxhills against Surrey, Sussex & Essex. Roxanne arranging team
U11 Boys - Julian is looking to run a Graded Tournament in early Jan and will be playing against Essex.

County Training:

Confirmed that training was still on for 8th Dec. Jan date had been changed to 19th - it was noted that this clashes with U17 & U19 competition in Essex.

Leslie & Julian have arranged Girls Squash Morning on Dec 1St at Cannons at a cost of £5pp

Awards For All:

Ray attending County SDO meeting on 4th Nov. He will update Committee at next Meeting. Simon Andrews preparing posters for schools

Interclub:

Final entrants had been received - Good numbers this year

U11 - 8
U13 - 10
U15 - 9
U17 - 5
U19 - Nil

Ron to circulate fixtures

AOB:

1. Julian congratulated Ron on his continued excellent work on organising the various activities. Julian recommended that a sum of £250 to be paid to Ron which covers his expenses and a small amount for general inconvenience. The proposal was carried unanimously.

2. Ron was asked if he would put together a project plan for consideration at the next meeting aimed at getting girls generally more involved in squash

3. Roxanne announced that she was standing down from the committee after the Girl's match on Nov 10th. Chris thanked her for all of her support over the years. It was suggested that Cath McConnell may be interested in running the Girls section

Next Meeting:

Due to a number of absences it was agreed that the next meeting would be on 9th Dec. Julian will not be able to attend
