Minutes of Meeting 8/4/2002

Present: Ray Waller, Chris Wilkinson (guest appearance),
Dudley Fuller, Ron, Dave Kerr, Roxanne..

Finance: No change. Dave Scib. Will be writing a cheque for £30 to cover costs of Jason for u11/13 training. We trust Gill is happy with the accounts handed over. If there are any questions then please do not hesitate to call Chris.
Interclub: All going well. Some re-arranged matches (U15) are taking place on the 14/4 at Cannons.
Fuirzefield were due to hold a Interclub
on the 28/4 but with the courts not available then other arrangements will be
necessary. R. Worrel to follow up.
Final Interclub is on the 12/5. Presentations will be at the Herts closed in
Sept./Oct.
Awards for All : All gone in. Waiting for outcome. (please keep an eye on the accounts from mid May to see if the money goes in).
Team Manager: U13 still not filled. D.S. to talk with John Dixon. If this is confirmed DS will advise SRA of the names of all managers for receipt of Inter County details.
County Squash: Julian Vecchio is a member of SRA (checked out by DF).
April/May Events: Regional is early May. Herts will be represented by some of the top players. This is being held in Harlow.
Girls Training: R.Worrel to discuss with Lesley again. Maybe an idea to sit down later in the year with Lesley and put dates in the diary (every 2 months) for Girls training. The dates should be advised to clubs at the beginning of the season.
HCC are offering free coaching fore Girls for a limited period in conjunction with the local authority. THIS IS ONLY FOR LOCAL USE.
Shirts: I advised the committee that DS felt the shirts should be given away free. If we get the Awards for All then maybe this is a good idea.If we do give them away free then distribution should be decided by the committee as it was felt that it could be a good incentive for the girls who go county training to be considered.Can DS please detail sizes and nos. of shirts we have.
Child Protection : Please check your registration. If you look after or take kids to matches then you should complete this form.
Committee Members: At this time of year we start thinking of getting more people for next year. Big clubs without representation should be approached. This includes Berkhampsted and Cannons. CW will attend some meetings but it would be nice to get somebody on a permanent basis.
Next Meeting: As little is happening it was decided to hold the next (and final meeting) of the season on the 10/6/02. Should any issues arise that need discussion RW will call a meeting or liase with those concerned.
