Herts County Junior SquashHerts County Junior MeetingMinutes of Meeting 4th Feb 2004 Herts. County Junior Squash Present: Ray Waller, Ron Worrel, Dave Kerr, Simon Andrews, Dave Sciberras, John Dixon, Steve Lloyd, Dudley Fuller. Apologies: Julian Finances: After payments for the U19’s (£297.1) and U15’s (£276.70) Inter County matches our balance should stand at approx £3400. Ray Waller commented that the Inter County matches are taking up considerable funds and suggested that the money received from the Senior committee did not even cover this cost. It was felt that the money received from the ‘central’ fund for Hertfordshire squash must at least cover the inter county costs. Dave Sciberras will undertake an evaluation of these costs for next years submission. Inter County U15 – 2nd Individual reports can be read on the Herts Web Site. Interclub Cannons were unable to field an U15 team – this was very disappointing
for such a large club. U19’s at Tring must be re-arranged as it clashed with U17 intercounty taking away players from both Berko, and Hazelwwod. Girls Squash Training planned for 4/4/04. U13 9-11am, 13+ 11-1pm U13 Coaching – Looking to arrange a session for the lower order players (5 –15). Initial thought is to hold it at Cannons on 23/3/04. 10 –12 am. Steve to liase with John Dixon to get this up and running. Awards For All Ron to get new forms for second application. This has infact already been done and a meeting arranged with Richard Colman early in April to put together the application. Our offer for assisting coaching courses was discussed and new application forms agreed. A form for each level should be produced and the wording ‘consider pre-financing’ included. Ron advised that the SDO’s were not really pulling their weight. Ron looking at approaching the younger 9 –11 age group. Herts Open - £50 Donation agreed. Next Meeting Monday 1/3/04 |
