164 entered this years Herts Closed Junior Squash Championships.

see pictures]The first competition took place on Saturday 13th September at Radlett
Squash & Tennis club where 11 juniors entered the U9 category and 43 entered
the U11 category.
With unparalleled control and dedication Julian Craxton was able to organise
and control all 54 juniors in his charge.
Congratulations to James Wyatt (Cannons) U9 Boys Champion and runner-up
Noah Brown (Harpenden).
Congratulations to Laurence Green (Radlett) U11 Boys Champion and
runner-up James Wyatt (Cannons).
Congratulations to Amber Marshall (Broxbourne) U9 Girls Champion and
runner-up Maya Malkan (Radlett).
Congratulations to Grace Gear (Gosling) U11 Girls Champion and runner-up
Amanda Chaytor (Radlett).

The second competition took place over the weekend of 20th & 21st September
at Cannons Squash and Health Club, St. Albans, where a total of 115 matches
were played.
This was the venue for the U13 Boys & Girls and U17 Boys
19 boys entered the U13 Boys category and 10 girls entered the U13 Girls
event.
24 boys entered the U17 Boys category.
Congratulations to Nicky Rossiter (West Herts) U13 Boys Champion and
runner-up Tim Richards (Potters).
Congratulations to Krishan Gulabivala (Radlett) winner of the U13 Boys
Plate competition and Plate runner-up Joshua Howell (Cannons).
The 10 girls taking part in the U13 Girls competition were placed into two
leagues with the top two going through to the Finals session.
Congratulations to Hannah Daly (Broxbourne) U13 Girls Champion and
runner-up Grace Gear (Gosling).
Congratulations to Tim Dixon (Bishops Stortford) U17 Boys Champion and
runner-up Nathan Derrick (Stevenage).
Congratulations to David Lawrence (Radlett) winner of the U17 Boys Plate
competition and Plate runner-up Taylor Watts (Gosling).
The third competition took place over the weekend of 27th and 28th September
at Berkhamsted Squash and Tennis club, where a total of 134 matches were
played.
This was the venue for the U15 Boys & Girls, U17/19 Girls and U19 Boys
29 boys took part in the U15 Boys competition.
11 girls entered the U15 Girls event.
1 girl entered the U19 Girls event.
16 boys entered the U19 Boys event
Congratulations to Angus Gillams (Radlett) U15 Boys Champion and
runner-up Joseph Green (Radlett).
Congratulations to Laurence Green (Radlett) winner of the U15 Boys Plate
competition and Plate runner-up Sanil Roy (West Herts).
The 10 girls who played (one withdrew) entered the U15 competition played in
two leagues and the top two played in the finals.
Congratulations to Jessica Foster (Cannons) U15 Girls Champion and
runner-up Charity Price (Gosling).
The 6 girls who entered the U17 competition played each other to determine
Champion and Runner-up.
Congratulations to Jemma Ockwell (Radlett) U19 & U17 Girls Champion and
U17 runner-up Brogan Lane (Bishops Stortford).
16 juniors entered the U19 Boys Tournament.
Congratulations to Phil Waller (Hazelwood) U19 Boys Champion and
runner-up Tim Dixon (Bishops Stortford).
Congratulations to Charlie Johnson (Bishops Stortford) winner of the U19
Boys Plate competition and Plate runner-up Josh Huitson (Tring).

A big thank you to Paul Allen and Jill Wood for a brilliant job of
controlling the enthusiastic spectators whilst refereeing the finals at
Cannons and Berkhamsted.
