Under 13’s win Stage 1 Inter-County in Norwich
Our U13’s team comfortably beat Norfolk, Essex and Suffolk on Sunday 25
October. Arriving early the team prepared well physically and mentally for
the task ahead. Although fielding the top two U13 players in the Region,
Laurence Green and Tim Richards, the team was relatively inexperienced and
we knew the matches needed to be won in the lower playing orders and we
couldn’t take anything for granted.

Alex O’Sullivan playing at three won all his matches with his new found
fitness. Hamish Gillams playing at four listened carefully to the advice and
showed his true potential for the future again winning all three matches.
Freddy Sapone was the only player to drop one match and then it went to five
games. He fought well and the game against Essex could have gone either way.
George Dearlove played number six and got some very useful experience at
playing at this level. Unfortunately Matthew Griffith was unable to join the
team due to sickness.
The team enjoyed the day which will very well supported by parents. We are
planning to get a number of practice sessions in before Stage 2 in January
which will undoubtedly field stronger opposition.
Very well done to our U13’s.
