Herts. County Junior Squash meeting 11/9/06
Minutes of Meeting
Present: Ray Waller, Dudley Fuller, Dave Kerr, Ron Worrell, Chris Thomas,
Julian Craxton, Gordon Hewitson
Apologies: Simon Andrews, Dave Richards, Steve Lloyd.
Finances: Down to £990. Desperately need money from Senior Committee -
£1500. (I have spoken to Jason who will speak with Sally Ann).
Awards For All: Everything is now ready to send in. Ron to circulate an
electronic copy of the application. Hopefully we will get feedback within
6 weeks.
Ron was asked to keep in contact with the AFA office as if it is rejected
maybe we can re-submit quickly with some amendments.
If we secure these funds we should be able to fund our various initiatives
for the next 2 seasons.
Herts Closed:
U9/11 at Radlett on 16th/17th. So far 29 entries. Mostly from Radlett and
Harpenden.
U13 28 boys, 8 girls; U15 24 boys, 9 girls; U17 31 boys, 3 girls; U19 11
boys, 3 girls.
Sponsorship from Arlon Printers for the Shirts and Excel for the major
trophies. This sponsorship is worth around £800 in total.
Ron Worrell is happy that everything is under control.
Hopefully more entries will arrive before the closing dates.
Inter Club A total of 40 teams have entered. This is up on 34 in 05/06.
DISSAPPOINTING THAT POTTERS HAVE NO REPRESENTATION. With Dave Richards on
the committee driving the new Grand Prix events it is surprising that no
teams can be entered.
Grand Prix Events
The four dates allocated are 19th Nov, Feb 25th, April 22nd, May 20th.
This may be to many and we might look to drop the late May date.
On the 19th November propose to have U19 Grand Prix at POTTERS run by
Dave Richards
An U/15 Grand Prix at another location should also be arranged Paul
Drakes to be asked if R3 will hold the event.
Whilst the G.Ps are a good event we do need to get volunteer clubs to
host them.

Dudley has received the U19 draw 15th Oct Cambridgeshire

U15 Girls draw - 15th October - Herts HOST Julian to set venue.

Girls Squash Mornings - 4 Planned

15th April - Cannons
All welcome. If funding not received may have to charge for the morning.
