Current balance £6054.99.

Bishop Stortford agreed to £3.00 per hour for use of lights.
Dave Richards to send details to Dave Sciberras for £120 – Mount Grace and £120 for Brookmans Park School’s.

The cost for Pontefract was £322.00. T Shirts were £69.91. The £82 for fuel should be split amongst drivers. John Dixon to administer.

It was noted that had we not received the new Awards for All funding then we would have been very tight for funds.

With some very good Juniors coming through it was suggested that maybe the Senior Committee could commit some of its funds to elite coaching as these juniors will hopefully represent the County in the future. We require £1000 to ensure a good stream of top class juniors are available. Maybe they can consider use of there Awards for All for this worthy cause.

Interclub: All matches are completed. Well done Ron. Need to look at a 2nd division for 05/06. we also need to look at ways of keeping the U17 and U19 age groups interested in squash.

Intercounty : A successful year with the U13’s being the flagship reaching the national finals. Managers for next year:

U13 – Katherine Mulvey to be approached aided by Steve Lloyd.
U15 – Ray Waller or John Dixon
U17 - Dave Sciberras
U19 – Dudley Fuller

Girls – Janet Lawlor assistance from Julian and Steve.

Awards for All – 27 Pupils will go to Broxbourne. 2 teachers, 2 parents and 2 Coaches will attend.
Ron is to find out what Broxbourne can do to back up this funding ie. getting junior players into the club.

Grove Junior School has finished its course – 6 retained, 15 attended.
High beeches – 4 retained.

Inter County 2005/06:

U13/U17 – 6th Nov Stage 1, 5th Feb stage 2
U15/U19 – 23rd Oct stage 1, 29th Jan Stage 2.

These are provisional but Squash England

Coaching: Planned dates:

U11 : Oct 23rd, Feb 29th: U13 Oct 23rd, Jan 21st; U15 Oct 9th, Jan 14th.

Max 16 people to be invited.

Girls: Janet plans 1 session per month. 3 hours per session.

There still remains a need to develop new girls.

Graded/Mini Tournament : 4/6/05 – to be held at Radlett.

Herts Closed – To clarify the previous minutes - 24th/25th Sept – U13 and U17 at Canons.

U11 – 17th September at Radlett – Entry fee to be £8.00 including T-Shirt.

U15/19 - 1st /.2nd October at HCC.

AOB – Paul Selby and John Milton holding a squash academy at Hailibury School Hertford during the school holidays.

Philip Waller – Newbury Open winner U13.

Need to consider ‘District Teams’ for 2005/06. This will bridge a gap between club and County. Ron Worrell and Ron Palmer to look into the structure of a district competition.
