All future cheques to be signed by Andrew and John · Andrew provided 12 month review of finances · Cash in bank remained at £4,335 · Ron to provide Andrew with final breakdown of receipts and expenditure for Herts Closed · John to request donation of £1,500 from Herts Senior Committee (Mark Blake) Herts Closed: · Ron highlighted poor quality of printing on t-shirts and confirmed that next year’s supply would be free, as well as trophy engraving · Ron felt it worth considering a change of dates (bringing forward) for the under 19’s to try and ensure those about to embark on university could compete. This will be taken into consideration for planning next year’s event. · Ray has raised questions with England Squash regarding PAR scoring
Awards For All: · It was agreed that the application would be considered in January 09, in readiness for a Spring application
InterCounty · 2nd November, stage 1 fixtures: o U13 boys o U17 boys o U13 girls o U17 girls · Julian raised concerns regarding players selected to play for the county who were aware of inter-county fixtures and ten had subsequently opted to play in a tournament in Belgium on the 2nd November. A discussion of possible sanctions took place and it was agreed that Julian would speak to Alison at England Squash to get their view on the situation. Julian to report back to the committee and the committee to discuss further.
Inter club · Ron reported all was proceeding as planned County training · U13 boys selection and U17 training to take place on 19th October Girls Squash · Julian has arranged a girls squash morning and graded tournament on 16th November at Cannons AOB · Julian has arranged a boys and girls U10 & U13 event on22nd November at Harpendon · Betty Longhurst (Tring) has applied for assistance with coaching fees. The maximum award is £200 per club. The application is to be considered at the next meeting.
