Herts County Junior Meeting 9.1.06

Present: Ray, Ron, Dave Sciberras, Dave Kerr, Julian, Chris, Simon

Apologies: Dave Richards, Steve lloyd, Dudley, Ron Palmer

Finances: Account change over to be completed within Feb. Mandate signed in accordance with Barclays requirements.

£3270 in bank (16/12/05 statement) with £1500 from Senior Committee to be added. This has now been received.

U17/U19 Grand Prix – Dates to be arranged. Dave Richards should be pushing as instigator of this event. (dates now been set)

Inter County :

U19 – won round 2 – in final 13/14th May
U17 – won round 2 – beat Kent 4-1 and Middx 5-0
U15 - runners up
U13 – Lost to Kent and Essex 1.Beat Essex 2. had 3 u11’s in this team so next year they will play in the same age group again.

U13 Girls – Won – will travel to final on 6th/7th May. Team was Jemma Ockwell, Anna Bradley, Brogan lane, Jessica Foster.

Girls Squash – 12/2/06 Coaching morning arranged.

The girls will play in the ‘4 Counties’ tournament on 23/4 and 14/5.

Graded Tournament – One is scheduled for 9/4/06

Coaching:

U13’s boys and girls was held on 29/1 at canons – 12 – 14 players attended

U11 boys and girls – 26/2/06 – Julian to get players together.

U15 and U13 training day 12/3/06 – U15 Herts open on this day.

U17 and U19 - 23/4/06

Coaching – Part 2 Funding: Neil waller, Ben Andrews and Jonathon Fuller all commenced part 2.

Awards for All – The spend has to be justified – Invoices now sent off.

10/2 Final session for ‘Longland School’ – Geoff Taylor from Broxbourne running this.
RW to get numbers from Steve Lloyd for Harpenden schools he has been coaching.

County Rankings: The official one must be on the website within 10 days (this has now been done)

Need to put D.O.B after each player as the official ranking is as per DOB and not school year.

Junior Interclub Leagues

Running OK.

PB under 11 div 2 did not show at B.Stortford, Dave Richards informed B.S.

U15 – Gosling 2 could not get a team.

71 matches played, 83 to play.

British U15 and U19 – 17th -19th Feb (Adrian Waller and Philip Waller reached Quarter finals beating there ranking position)

Thanks to Dave Sciberras for his work on the committee over the past few years. Dave has now handed everything over to Chris Thomas.

Chris Thomas has 6 County shirts in his safe keeping.
