Boys under 13’s
Our Under 13’s Squad of Nicky Rossiter, Tim Richards,
Laurence Green, Krishan Gulabivala, Mark Pulver, George
Calverley and Alex O’Sullivan have won the National Boys
Under 13’s Trophy Final. On Sunday 22 March they beat East
Wales in the final having already beaten Mersey.
The build up to the final have seen the team beat all but
one of the Counties they played. In the first round we
beat Suffolk, Kent and only narrowly lost out to Surrey.
In the second round we beat Essex and Berkshire.
To have beaten all these counties is a tribute to the hard
work and focus shown by the whole team. We were also
fortunate to have had input from Steve Lloyd, Adam Fuller
and latterly from Paul Carter.
With half the team moving up a year group next year we
have much to build on and hope we can maintain the bonding
which the team has shown over the past four months.
My appreciation goes to Craig Rossiter and Kerry Green who
have given me very useful guidance and support as well to
the parents who would regularly attend ‘another’ selection
session! My thanks also to Herts Junior County committee
who that had the foresight to invest a small amount
financially in preparing the boys for this excellent
achievement. Finally a thank you to Potters Heath Club for
