Launch of "Herts Squash League
Online"
IMPORTANT - GET EXCITED!
Dear All,
Well it's happened!!!
At last, the league tables are available online. We have had various
teething problems, the latest being that the site was not accessible
yesterday - but seems to be working OK today! There are bound to be a few
issues to start with but we are working hard to get these resolved. So,
what does this mean for you?
Currently I am still inputting the results (on a
daily basis) so what you see is what I have received. It should all be
pretty self explanatory, the best bet is for you to have a nose around and
see what's there. You should be able to find current league tables,
fixtures, team results and individuals results as well as team orders for
all players. I think you'll be impressed.
Regarding the ranking list - this is done as a
whole club. So if you have a number of teams this can get quite
complicated. The way I think of it is a ranking list of all players from
your club playing in the leagues. Imagine they are all playing in one big
team at once. What order would they play in? This should be the order on
this list and should be stuck to at all times. YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR
ORDER AS IT SUITS. This can only be done with PRIOR permission from myself
and should only happen at the Christmas break. There have to be
exceptional circumstances for it to be approved at other times. Please
adhere to this rule. You will see from the software that it becomes very
obvious where players have played out of order and having given out a
number of warnings to teams, I will now be deducting points if this
continues to happen. If you have any queries with regard to any of the
rules, please contact me to discuss rather than risk losing your teams
points.
Feedback would be appreciated - good or bad - it's
a resource for you to use and we hope it will be very helpful. Any ideas
about how we could improve it would be most welcome. Log-ins will be
provided once we are in a position for captains to input their own
results, even then though, a match card is still required to be submitted.
Finally, I am looking for volunteers (1 or 2 from
each division) to be a 'Division Manager', I would see this role as more
of an 'ambassador' for the league, just talking each week with your
opposition, making sure that all teams are aware of the league online and
identifying if they are having any problems. It is very hard for me to
keep in contact with each and every team (especially those not on email or
even worse those that don't bother reading their emails!) Let me know if
you'd be interested.
YOU WILL FIND A LINK TO THE ONLINE LEAGUE
FROM OUR WEBSITE AT

Go on - have a look, you know you want to!!!
PLEASE TELL ALL YOUR TEAM MEMBERS
AND ANYONE ELSE WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED.
Thanks for your time
