Sports PsychologySports Psychology Support services offered by the University of Luton
Sports Psychology Support is where a Sports Psychologist works with an individual sportsperson or team to help improve or develop their mental skills in order to enhance sports performance. Areas which a sports psychologist could help a performer develop include dealing with nerves/anxiety, improving self-confidence, coping with sports injuries, improving concentration, goal setting and controlling aggression. Sports psychology is a growing field within Sport & Exercise science support with performers of all abilities from club to international level now using sports psychologists.
DELIVERY:
Sports psychology support can be provided on a one-to-one basis or to
teams/groups, and can be provided either at the University of Luton or at the
venue of your choice (e.g. training ground). Additionally, a Sports Psychologist
can provide support to either the sports performer directly, or to coaches and
other support staff, and sessions can be provided on either a one-off or
long-term basis.
SERVICE PRICE:
The exact cost will depend on the frequency, location and duration of sessions,
but will be in the region of £45 per hour, plus travel expenses where
