British Open News

The British Open kicked off on Wednesday 10th April when defending champion David Palmer confronted the hot young Finn Olli Tuominen in the first round. With Peter Nicol, at No.1, Jonathon Power resurging back to threaten his status with wins in the TOC in New York and the Pakistani Open and Palmer fighting to defend the title it will be an exciting week. There are half a dozen players who could win this title including British National Champion Lee Beachill, Stewart Boswell and John White who plays for Scotland.

In the women's event Sarah Fitz-Gerald looks set to retain her title but she may be a little match rusty after an injury lay-off.
