I have been having problems with the leagues due to the lack of entrants. There are 37 entrants against 49 last year. This is very disappointing but I have cajoled as much as I am willing with no results.
This leaves us with quite a predicament. I have tried to sort but it just leaves too many non-playing weeks for it to be enjoyable.
I therefore plan to start again and to run leagues of 8 teams (ie 14 weeks of matches as against the usual 18 weeks) this will mean that there should be a maximum of 1 week 'free' each half - minimum in league = 7. It also means that the beginning of the season will be delayed (probably by 2 weeks) which will give me more time to sort out the mess.
If I have already approached you to play in a different division than requested then please ignore previous conversations. I will start the process again and will contact each team affected. I would hope to have the fixtures available in the next week or so, that's if I can get it to work having never done leagues of 8 before - surely it can't be that difficult?
