Newsletter No.23
Only 4
days to go, and at the moment we have 120
Broxbourne supporters attending Lamb's Squash Club next Tuesday. Most
are travelling on coaches supplied by Cantabrica
Coaches of St. Albans (many thanks for their support), but
many others are travelling from all parts of the country just to be there. Its
not to late to join us as we still have a few tickets left! Contact me or Adam
Long (Adam@TVSLondon.co.uk )
Before then, Triage squad members, Rod Durbach, Alex
Stait & Alison Waters will all be in action later this week in the
Maidstone 'Open'. Rod is the defending Champion & No.2 seed, looking to
fine tune his game for the National league Final match against Simon
Parke. Alex has a tough first round against Chris Tomlinson & Alison will
be looking forward to playing Caroline Heal & possibly Rebecca Macree, the
No.1 female competing.
But back to the final. I am still awaiting tickets to be
issued by the organisers, but don't worry if you haven't received them by this
time next week, as I have a full list of who has paid for what seats, and will
be assisted by two Broxbourne members at the Final, Grant Bjorklund &
Helen Knightly, who will be directing everyone to the right place. They
will also be directing everyone, who is travelling with us, onto the
coaches for the return journey. So look out for them or me on the night
(preferably them!).
Remember, the Broxbourne 'Battle Buses' depart from
Broxbourne Sports Club at 4.00pm and 5.30pm SHARP! Those on the later coach
must be prompt as it will be tight enough getting to the venue on time as it
is. If travelling with us you will have had your space on the appropriate
coach confirmed when booking tickets. Please remember which one
you are on, for the return journey! Coach 1
at 4.00pm & Coach 2 at 5.30pm. All those
travelling 'one way' on the return from London, will be on Coach
2.
Most of all, enjoy the occasion, support your
team, by making lots of noise (at the appropriate time Alan!) and
remember you are representing Triage
Broxbourne.
National
League Final Result !
Those
buying their daily paper yesterday would not have failed to notice the
following 'results' in yesterdays Daily Express, from the Eye Group

LATE NEWS ... VERY LATE NEWS
BROXBOURNE are claiming a lucky omen
ahead of their English National League final with
Lexden after the Daily Express somehow published
the results of last year's final,
when Lexden lost 3-2 to Edgbaston Priory, in
yesterday's edition. Grapevine can reveal that the phantom results were
compiled by the Press Association, who must have some kind of glitch in
their computer system. Reports The Squash Player
Is
this an omen for Tuesday week I ask? No
wonder the bookies don't want to take my money!!!!
Now look out for the real

National Squash League Final 2002
7th May, Lamb's Squash Club, Chiswell Street, London. EC1.
Triage Broxbourne
vs. Tek Sing Lexden
Its time to buy your tickets!
Triage Broxbourne have been allocated 65 seats & 75
standing tickets for the National League Squash Final on 7th May, at
Lamb's Squash Club in London.
Their opponents will be the mighty Tek Sing Lexden of
Colchester, who have David Evans & Simon Parke amongst their players.
To combat this, we will be fielding Mark Chaloner &
Rodney Durbach who tasted success two years ago when we beat Connaught of
Chingford, home of World No.1 Peter Nicol.
Tickets are available at £10 per seat plus £10 for return
coach travel from Broxbourne Sports Club. Demand for tickets for this very
high profile occasion will be high. We hope that everyone who has had the
opportunity of watching us at Broxbourne during the season will now join ranks
to watch & support Hertfordshire's only National League team on this
big occasion.
